💼 Selling with Buy now

With Buy now, the buyer pays by card straight away, with no back-and-forth about payment. All you do is ship the item, and the money lands in your bank account.

✅ Getting started

• Turn on Stripe payments in your profile.
• Complete verification with the Stripe payment gateway. You'll enter your details, an ID document and the bank account where you want your money paid.
• Once you're verified, a Card payment badge will appear on your profile and a Buy now button will appear on your listings.

📦 When you get an order

1. You'll get a notification, and the order will be in My sales.
2. Pack the item well and ship it within 7 days.
3. In the order, select Mark as shipped and enter the carrier and tracking number. You can't continue without a tracking number. It's your best proof that you sent the item.
4. When the buyer receives the item, they confirm delivery.

❌ I don't have the item – cancelling

If you no longer have the item, cancel the order from the order details. The buyer will be refunded automatically. Try not to make a habit of it, though. Buyers are counting on you to send the item.

The buyer can cancel the order until you ship it. That's why you should ship as soon as you can and always mark the order as shipped.

⚠️ The buyer reported a problem

If the buyer reports a problem (the item didn't arrive, is damaged, isn't what was listed…), you'll get their description and photos in the chat. Try to sort it out together. You can give them a full or partial refund in your Stripe account (Payments → select the payment → Refund). We'll update the order on our end automatically.

If you can't reach an agreement, the buyer can contact their bank to dispute the card payment. You respond to the dispute in your Stripe account. Your tracking number, photos and chat messages will help your case.

💸 When do I get paid?

The payment goes straight to your Stripe account and is paid out to your bank account 14 days after the purchase. You can see all your payments and payouts in your Stripe account.

💰 How much does it cost?

Listing an item is free. On every Buy now sale, BATNER takes a commission on the item price, and Stripe deducts its card payment fee. For full details, see the Commissions and fees page.

🤝 Fair dealing

• Describe your items honestly and show any flaws.
• Reply to buyers' messages.
• Don't block a buyer who has already paid. If there's a problem, contact support. We're always notified when someone is blocked during an order.
• Don't offer payment outside BATNER.
